Position Summary
Hanwha Vision America is seeking a Supply Chain Management Data Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing supply chain operations to improve service levels, inventory management, forecasting accuracy, and overall operational efficiency. This role supports demand planning, inventory analysis, S&OP, logistics cost review, operational reporting, and cross-functional decision-making.
The SCM Data Analyst will work closely with Sales, Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Finance, U.S.-based teams, and Korea-based headquarters teams to support supply chain planning, procurement coordination, inventory management, and operational reporting across global business functions.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, bilingual communication ability in Korean and English, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning & Analysis
- Support weekly and monthly rolling forecast processes by consolidating demand signals, identifying supply chain risks, and providing actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics, including demand forecasts, order fulfillment, inventory levels, lead times, backorders, and supplier performance.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve service levels, inventory utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analyses for supply chain disruptions and provide recommendations to improve planning performance.
- Communicate key findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to management and cross-functional teams.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory by reviewing sell-in, sell-out, open orders, inventory coverage, remaining inventory months, and consumption trends.
- Analyze inventory turnover, inventory days on hand, aging inventory, excess and obsolete stock, and replenishment requirements.
- Recommend actions to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and Sales teams to maintain inventory accuracy and availability.
Logistics Cost Optimization
- Analyze freight spend and identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs while maintaining service levels.
- Evaluate and recommend transportation modes based on cost, lead time, inventory availability, and customer requirements.
Demand Forecasting
- Develop, review, and maintain item-level demand forecasts using distributor purchase order history, open orders, POS data, channel inventory, and market insights from the Sales team.
- Analyze demand fluctuations, forecast accuracy, sales trends, inventory levels, backorders, and excess inventory risks to support data-driven decision-making by senior management.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, demand variability, forecast bias, and baseline forecast models such as moving average, trimmed average, and historical trend analysis.
- Support weekly and monthly forecasting reviews with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner with third-party machine learning forecast providers to support forecast improvement initiatives and evaluate forecast outputs against historical demand, POS, channel inventory, and statistical baseline models.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Extract, organize, analyze, and present supply chain data using SAP, Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for management and key stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and improve supply chain reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, automation, reporting accuracy, and cost reduction.
- Assist with reporting enhancements and data integrity initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in supply chain, operations, logistics, inventory planning, procurement, or data analytics.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar platforms preferred.
- Experience in the electronics, technology, security, or surveillance industry is preferred, with familiarity in global supply chain operations and inventory planning considered a strong advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, and data analysis.
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of supply chain processes, inventory planning, forecasting, procurement, and logistics.
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain reporting tools.
- Fluent in both Korean and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) from ASCM.
- Experience with SQL, database management, or advanced analytics tools.
- Knowledge of demand planning and forecasting software.
- Experience supporting global supply chain operations and international supplier relationships.
