
Senior Database Administrator

CIRO is seeking a highly capable Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to support the performance, reliability, and integrity of our Finance Systems and enterprise data ecosystem. This role strengthens operational resilience, supports complex Finance System integrations, and eliminates the current single point of failure within our DBA function.
We are seeking a candidate who brings a blend of strong technical skills, cloud and integration experience, and the competencies required to operate effectively in a highly collaborative, compliance‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize SQL Server databases supporting Finance Systems.
- Support Business Central, Adaptive Insights, MIS_CAM Engine, and related integrations.
- Maintain database encryption and secure connectivity standards.
- Support hybrid environments using Azure Arc, VNets, and Gateways.
- Troubleshoot and maintain data pipelines and integration jobs.
- Execute DR/Backup/restore procedures.
- Support Power Platform-driven workflows.
- Participate in on-call rotation with Senior DBA.
- Contribute to automation and modernization initiatives.
- Implement secure configurations, encryption standards, and access policies.
- Ensure readiness for audits and compliance obligations.
- Automate tasks using PowerShell (preferred).
- Collaborate with Finance, Support and Business Systems and Development teams, communicating effectively and translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Documentation of processes and consistent knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on SQL Server DBA experience.
- Strong SQL tuning, indexing, and optimization skills.
- Hands-on experience with database encryption technologies.
- Experience with Azure Arc, VNets, Gateways, and hybrid workloads.
- Experience with integrations (SSIS, APIs, ETL tools).
- Knowledge of security, governance, and audit requirements.
- Proficiency in SQL Server administration, query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshooting complex database and integration issues.
- Hands-on experience with database encryption (TDE, Always Encrypted, encryption-at-rest/in-flight).
- Practical experience with Azure technologies: Azure Arc, Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), Gateways, hybrid connectivity.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse).
- Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Business Central.
- Experience with Adaptive Insights and MIS_CAM Engine.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- PowerShell scripting experience.
- Experience in regulated environments.
