About the Project
WildBrain is embarking on a multi-year, multi-wave enterprise implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, replacing a legacy on-premises ERP environment as the financial system of record across the Group.
About the Role
You will lead and coordinate the Business Central implementation across WildBrain Business Units. Reporting to the VP, Technology Solutions and working closely with the Director of Finance Transformation, you will be the day-to-day counterpart to WildBrain's systems implementation partner, holding the partner accountable to scope, schedule, quality, and cost commitments. You will manage WildBrain-side resource assignment and budgeting, and coordinate closely with internal project teams including Finance, Legal, Data, Network and Product through all phases of the project.
This is a hands-on program management role involving planning, forecasting, budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, meeting facilitation, risk analysis, reporting and steering committee updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the client-side accountable program owner for the Business Central implementation
- Hold the Systems Integrator accountable to scope, schedule, quality, and cost commitments while managing scope changes, change requests and any disputes
- Own the integrated program plan and schedule, including vendor and internal commitments
- Run program governance, including status reports (budget and progress), regular Steering Committee meetings, and design sessions to ensure decisions are made, documented, and locked
- Orchestrate WildBrain-side resources contributing to the ERP program — including Business Central Functional Leads/Finance SMEs across regions, Network, Integration, Product, Data, Legal, and Product as needed
- Drive phase-based delivery — plan, execute, and close each phase while managing known program constraints: Q4 close and year-end audit blackout, Television wind-down, Peanuts divestiture, and statutory timing in jurisdictions where entities operate
- Drive the data migration project workstream — sequencing of cleansing, mock cutovers, reconciliation gates, and finance / audit sign-off against the agreed historical migration scope
- Steward design authority discipline — ensure functional design decisions are made on time, documented, and do not drift; ensure Systems Integrator recommendations are evaluated against business needs
- Define change management activities with project teams and engage IT, Communications, and Talent as required; act as a forcing function on stakeholder engagement, training readiness, and adoption gate sign-offs
- Coordinate with parallel program workstream dependencies, including IT updates, systems integrations, BigQuery downstream pipelines, and AI / Copilot initiatives
- Drive hypercare planning and exit per phase; lead the transition from hypercare into the three-year managed services arrangement
- Manage knowledge transfer from the Systems Integrator into WildBrain's steady-state operating team through documentation and handovers/support agreements
Qualifications
- Strong project or program management experience leading enterprise ERP implementations or complex technology-enabled transformation programs
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience as the client-side program or project lead on at least one enterprise ERP implementation of multi legal entity and multi-currency scale with multi-jurisdiction complexity. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred; comparable experience on D365 Finance & Operations, NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, or Oracle Cloud Financials at similar scale will be considered
- Proven track record of multi-phase rollout delivery in production, including cutover and hypercare
- Strong Systems Integrator and vendor management — comfortable holding implementation partners accountable on scope, schedule, quality, and cost; comfortable saying no when needed
- Strong finance domain literacy — conversant in General Ledger, AP, AR, intercompany, consolidation, multi-currency mechanics, and procure-to-pay. Finance literacy is required but accounting credentials are not
- Strong data migration project oversight — historical depth decisions, cleansing strategy, mock cutover discipline, reconciliation, and finance / audit sign-off
- Comfortable operating in a landscape with multiple parallel workstreams and project teams across Finance, Network, IT, integration, data warehouse, planning tools, and AI enablement
- Strong executive communication — credible in front of a CFO, a Steering Committee, and a Systems Integrator's leadership team
- Strong written discipline — concise, evidence-based, and actionable status notes; current RAID documentation; documented decisions
- PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent project management certification
- Comfortable operating in a contract role inside a long-duration program with clear delivery milestones
Nice to Haves
- Direct Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central project management experience (versus adjacent cloud ERP platforms)
- Media, entertainment, content licensing, royalties, or IP-driven industry background
- Experience with Binary Stream Multi-Entity Management or comparable multi-entity ISVs alongside Business Central
- Experience operating in an integrated landscape
- IFRS-aligned consolidation reporting experience
- Experience managing the transition from hypercare into a multi-year managed services arrangement, including SLA framework and steady-state operating model handover
