About the Role
Position: Finished Goods Handler
Location: Hanover, PA
Shift: Weekend Night Shift — Thursday to Saturday, 5:25 PM to 5:25 AM
As a Finished Goods Handler, you will move product, pull orders, load trailers and coordinate trailer movement with local and outlying facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary transporter, loader and unloader of bulk, finished product associated with the new robotics area
- Help prepare robot for production and make adjustments as necessary for schedule
- Assist in shrink wrapping responsibilities of all items within Plant 3 (Repack and Non-Repack)
- Assist in relief of dumpers and other forklift operators within Plant 3
- Communicate production issues and opportunities to immediate supervisor
- Use printers to place appropriate codes and prices on bags, labels, and cases
- Program, troubleshoot, and make adjustments on robot to ensure efficiency
- Routinely check bags for correct weight, code date, price, and bag integrity
- Complete all manufacturing paperwork and data entry in an efficient and accurate manner
- Operate, communicate and be proficient in Redzone
- Operate, communicate and develop skills within the new D365 software system
- Cross train and learn other finished good responsibilities at Plant 3
- Work proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people
- Follow all safety rules and work safely at all times
- Perform quality and food safety tasks for the position
- Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices
Qualifications
- Basic math and reading skills
- Knowledge of types and locations of products and truck loading procedures acquired through on the job training
- Ability to prioritize workload to satisfy all production requirements
- Forklift operator's license (must be forklift certified or have ability to become forklift certified)
- Ability to operate a hand jack and lift up to 45 lbs
