The Role

  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data
  • Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including accounting entries, accruals and account reconciliations
  • Conduct various monthly, quarterly and annual analyses to understand results and balance sheet items, and explain variations compared to the prior period and provide explanations to management
  • Play a key role in the migration, implementation and optimization of financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and alignment across different platforms
  • Collaborate closely with entities based across Canada to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance in the budgeting process
  • Perform variance analyses and investigate discrepancies to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Support internal controls, accounting policies and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Assist in audit preparation and respond to requests from internal and external auditors
  • Provide timely financial analyses and support as needed

Requirements

  • Member of the Ordre des CPA
  • Bachelor's degree in administration with accounting option
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar position or 2 years in an accounting firm
  • Very good analytical ability
  • High level of rigor and attention to detail in your work
  • Sense of organization
  • Professionalism and confidentiality
  • Intermediate level Excel
  • Experience with an ERP system, Microsoft D365 (an asset)
  • Bilingualism (French/English intermediate level) required due to the organization's national activities and the need for effective communication between different regions
