Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Agent

About the role

AD Chemco is looking to hire a shipping, receiving, and fulfillment associate for our Jerome location.

Responsibilities

• Accurately count and receive incoming freight using inventory software
• Operate a forklift daily to pick and put away freight
• Manage incoming will call orders
• Maintain accurate inventory of incoming and outgoing products
• Work with satellite locations to ensure timely delivery of their orders
• Perform inventory audits
• Use software to accurately reflect inventory
• Provide administrative support when needed
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Other duties as assigned or as necessary
• Keep up to date on latest trends and changes in the industry and areas of responsibility by attending internal and external training classes and other events when available
• Identify areas for improvement and offer suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older to handle hazardous materials
• High school diploma, GED, or employment history that demonstrates the required skills needed for the job
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete required documents, answer customer questions, and provide management support
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Sense of urgency

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to represent the company in a dependable and professional manner
• Ability to work independently with little supervision when necessary
• Experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, and order picking
• Excellent computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Microsoft Business Central and Power BI experience

Physical Demands

• Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 50 pounds independently and 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to pass a physical agility test
• Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time
• Must pass a background and drug test

Working Conditions

• Work in the warehouse or office where temperatures vary between 50 to 75 degrees
