About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide customer service and pre-sales support for customers. You will play an integral role in ensuring that the Norsat solution meets customer satisfaction.

You will be the point of contact for customer inquiries, work closely with engineering to ensure solutions are realizable, and resolve issues to maintain customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will combine technical knowledge, detail-oriented approach, and customer-centric mindset to help customers understand where Norsat can create value.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and complaints
  • Understand customer needs and recommend customization of RF Component and Satellite solutions to Engineering and vendors
  • Create and maintain part numbers and associated data within engineering systems
  • Develop and maintain marketing datasheets for custom and standard parts
  • Assist engineering teams with sourcing and evaluating components
  • Prepare and deliver various documentation from engineering specifications and product data, PLM, CRM, and ERP systems, technical documentation for product releases and customer deliverables
  • Support Power BI and related business systems
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations for aligning sales workflow
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • Two years of experience working in a similar role
  • Understanding of communication systems and RF is an asset
  • Experience creating customized satellite solutions is an asset
  • Good written and verbal communication in English required; Mandarin speaking is an asset
  • Experience with softwares: Hubspot, PowerBI, Business Central, Windchill is preferred

Work Arrangement

This is an on-site position, so relocation will be required. Remote work is not supported at this time.
