Enterprise Solutions Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid) Reports to: VP of Sales Engineering & Partnerships

Are you a technically sharp, customer-obsessed Solutions Engineer who thrives at the intersection of software, storytelling, and sales? Join us as an Enterprise Solutions Engineer and become the technical backbone of our Enterprise Sales team. If you love translating complex software into compelling stories, guiding customers through discovery and demos, and winning deals that matter — we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will be the primary technical resource for our Enterprise Sales team, helping prospects and customers understand how Protech's solutions address their specific needs. You will:

  • Partner with Enterprise Sales Executives to plan, develop, present, and deliver tailored product demonstrations based on customer requirements
  • Understand customer needs and apply value-based storytelling to establish Protech as the best solution for their challenges
  • Respond to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), address functional and technical requirements, and support scoping and pricing of implementation engagements
  • Help customers navigate and overcome technical objections throughout the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with Implementation partners to ensure customer needs are clearly documented and addressed at handoff
  • Partner with Product and Marketing to feed customer feedback into sales messaging and product roadmap direction
  • Maintain and update demo environments with the latest Microsoft and Protech product updates
  • Represent Protech at association events and conferences, building credibility and community presence
  • Participate in internal and external training and certification programs to stay sharp on the evolving Protech and Microsoft ecosystem

What You Bring

You'll succeed in this role if you have:

  • Experience working with membership associations and nonprofit organizations, with a strong understanding of their workflows and priorities
  • Hands-on technical knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem — including Dynamics 365, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Azure Cloud, CMS configuration, API integrations, and relational databases
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex software concepts simply and in a compelling, story-driven way
  • Experience responding to RFPs, creating proposals, and gathering technical documentation
  • Familiarity with the full project lifecycle — from requirements gathering through deployment
  • A customer-first mindset with the ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business value
  • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 10%)

Bonus Points For

  • Demonstrated use of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar to streamline processes and automate repetitive tasks
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform certifications
  • Experience with RFP automation or knowledge management tooling
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent work experience

What You'll Get

This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Be the technical voice of an enterprise sales team at a company where technology and community genuinely intersect
  • Work with a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values your expertise and invests in your development
  • Make measurable impact — your work directly shapes how customers experience and choose Protech's solutions
  • Grow your career at the forefront of the Microsoft ecosystem, with access to ongoing training and certifications

Benefits

The Company offers a comprehensive employee benefits program, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • 100% Employer paid short/long term disability
  • Basic Life
  • 401(k) option with 100% company match
  • Flexible paid personal/vacation time built on mutual trust and accountability
  • 10 sick days annually
  • 10 company paid holidays
  • 6 weeks paid parental leave
