Reporting to the Manager, Health & Safety, the Safety Administrator is responsible for:
How You’ll Add Value
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to Safety Manager
- Coordinate and maintain project documentation, ensuring consistency with contractual requirements and internal procedures
- Support document control processes including QA/QC records, safety documentation, training records, statistics for managers meetings, compliance documentation, and project correspondence
- Assist purchasing and cost control documentation
- Maintain ongoing communication with department teams to identify administrative needs and recommend process improvements
- Participate in Contractor Safety Committee meetings by coordinating logistics, ordering lunches, recording meeting minutes, and assisting with Safety Gram updates
- Coordinate and schedule employee safety training programs to ensure compliance with company and project requirements
- Maintain and update the training matrix to accurately track employee certifications, qualifications, and training records
- Assign and manage required training through ADP Learning Management System (LMS)
- Coordinate new workers with safety personnel to support onboarding
- Maintain and administer ISNetworld (ISN) and Avetta contractor management platforms, ensuring accurate compliance documentation
What You Bring
- 2+ years of progressive project administration experience, preferably within construction or civil industrial environments
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering Technology) is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with software such as InEight, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Bluebeam is an asset
- Strong ability to read and interpret specifications and project documentation
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both field and office teams
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
