About the Role
Ready to do work that actually excites you? We're looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to help design, build, and scale the next generation of our internal business platforms.
As part of a major technology transformation, we're developing custom applications and modernizing our systems using Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Fabric, automation tools, and AI-powered solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems through technology, working closely with stakeholders, and taking ownership of meaningful projects. While this is not a formal leadership position today, there is a clear opportunity for the right person to grow into greater technical ownership and leadership responsibilities as our team expands.
What You'll Do
Platform Development & Engineering
- Build, enhance, and maintain internal business applications
- Develop and support Azure-based solutions and integrations
- Design scalable, maintainable, and secure systems
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications and services
Systems Integration & Automation
- Connect systems across Sales, Recruitment, HR, Finance, and Operations
- Develop integrations using APIs and automation tools
- Improve business processes through automation and workflow optimization
Data & Microsoft Technologies
- Support the use of Azure, Microsoft 365, and modern Microsoft technologies
- Work with structured data and system integrations
- Assist with the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and related data solutions
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work directly with department managers and senior business leaders
- Provide technical recommendations and solution options
- Communicate complex technical concepts in a practical and understandable way
- Build strong relationships across the business
Ownership & Growth
- Take ownership of key systems and projects
- Contribute to technical standards and best practices
- Share knowledge with team members and support less experienced engineers
- Develop leadership capability through increased project and stakeholder responsibility

Requirements
Professional Experience
- 5+ years' experience in platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, application engineering, or similar roles
- Experience delivering technology projects from requirements through to implementation
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate requirements into solutions
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments
- Demonstrated ownership of systems, projects, or business-critical initiatives
- Interest in taking on greater responsibility and growing into future leadership opportunities
Technical Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based technologies: Microsoft 365, Power Platform or Dynamics 365
- Exposure to systems integration, APIs, and automation
- Experience with business applications, enterprise systems, or internal platforms
- Understanding of databases, data flows, and reporting solutions
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric is highly regarded
- Experience contributing to solution design, architecture, or technical planning
