  • Monitor open purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, and proactively resolve potential delays or discrepancies in coordination with the Procurement team.
  • Lead the development and ongoing stewardship of a centralized parts master database, ensuring consistent item records, descriptions, units of measure, and vendor linkages across the organization.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies, including stocking policies, reorder parameters, and safety stock levels aligned to AWC's engineer-to-order business model.
  • Work closely with Materials Management and Receiving to align pick schedules, manage inbound transactions, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Support supplier coordination activities, including expediting critical materials and maintaining clear communication on order status and requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the scoping and implementation of AWC's ERP system, contributing to data development, data migration, process design, and user acceptance activities.
  • Support the development and documentation of materials handling procedures, workflows, and data standards.

Requirements

  • Education: Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business (B.Comm), or a related discipline; SCMP designation is a requirement.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a materials planning, procurement, or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Procurement & Buying: Demonstrated experience in procurement and buying, with a strong understanding of PO management, supplier coordination, and inbound logistics.
  • Materials Planning Knowledge: Solid understanding of BOM structures, MRP logic, and inventory management principles.
