About the Role

Our FP&A team is looking for a driven and passionate Financial Analyst to provide value-add financial support to drive key business decision-making. Reporting to the Sr Manager, FP&A, you will analyze all aspects of the Saje financial and business KPIs, and apply those findings to enable sound decision-making by our cross-functional partners.

You will help co-pilot our financial trajectory in partnership with executive leaders, management and cross-functional teams across the organization. You will provide clear and concise forward-looking financial analysis to support key stakeholders within the organization at all levels, and gain broad exposure to many teams including Retail, Ecommerce, Wholesale, Distribution & Logistics, Product, Marketing, Creative, IT and People.

With Saje, you will build on your foundational finance skillset and gain exposure to broader financial knowledge, in-depth budget planning, monthly forecasting & analysis, and detailed review of financial statements.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial projections to support both the company-wide forecasting process and strategic decision making
  • Monthly analysis of costs versus budget and forecast, and communication of recommendations to cross-functional partners
  • Supporting month-end close through the lens of FP&A by way of variance analysis, inputs to journal entries and reconciliations of key line items
  • Detailed review of results to support KPI and financial target achievement, as well as business process improvement
  • Using financial systems to create accurate, custom management reports
  • Annual budget and strategic planning preparation support including the creation and updating of templates, schedules and financial models
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis such as ROI analyses, sales trend forecasting, etc.
  • Contributes to a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills using complex functions (vlookup, index/match, conditional list, arrays, pivots)
  • Intermediate PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, experience in basic financial modelling and accounting knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — must be able to communicate effectively to operations management and produce effective reports
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Passionate about natural wellness and eager to learn the world of Retail/Wholesale FP&A

Assets:

  • Progression toward or achievement of CPA designation
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX, PowerBI, Sharepoint knowledge
  • Ability to utilize AI to support in automation and process improvement

Compensation and Benefits

Base Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 annually. Base pay is dependent on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
