About the Role
CIMMYT seeks an experienced FP&A Lead to oversee institutional financial analysis, management reporting, and strategic decision support. The role is responsible for developing forecasts, dashboards, and financial insights, ensuring data integrity across planning systems, and driving reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives. This position leads and develops a team of analysts supporting financial planning across research and funding portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead institutional financial performance analysis, management reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and executive decision-support activities.
- Develop and maintain financial analyses, business cases, forecasts, scenario models, and performance insights to support organizational decision-making. The focus is on the CGIAR Science Program and Accelerator Funding Portfolio (Funding channel Window 1/2), but other Research Support areas are in scope.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting support for institutionally managed initiatives, cross-programmatic projects, strategic investments, and centrally managed funding.
- Serve as the business owner for financial planning and reporting data within D365, Workday Adaptive Planning, and related reporting platforms, ensuring data integrity and governance.
- Lead continuous improvement, reporting modernization, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
- Manage and develop a team of FP&A Analysts, ensuring high-quality analytical support and reporting services across the organization.
Requirements
- Education: Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field required; Professional qualification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, management reporting, financial analytics, business intelligence, or decision-support functions.
- Technical Skills: Strong experience developing executive reporting, dashboards, KPIs, financial models, and analytical frameworks. Experience managing financial reporting environments, ERP systems, and planning platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading process improvement, reporting modernization, automation, and analytical teams.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Language: Advanced English Level (C1).
