About the Role

This is a 3-month contract role reporting to the Finance Project Manager. You will support finance transformation projects, implementing new finance tools, continuous improvement and automation initiatives across accounting, controlling, and related finance functions.

We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst / Senior Analyst, Finance Change Projects to help execute finance transformation initiatives and process improvement efforts that enhance efficiency, control, reporting quality, and user experience across finance operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and accounting/finance process knowledge with experience in systems support, reporting, project coordination, and process documentation. This role will work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Procurement, and business stakeholders to support change delivery, monitor process performance, and help embed sustainable improvements.

A successful candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where they can manage multiple priorities, provide hands-on support, and contribute to high-quality execution of finance projects and ongoing operational improvements.

Responsibilities

Project Execution and Testing Support

  • Support finance transformation initiatives and related process or system changes
  • Assist with UAT by preparing test materials, tracking results, coordinating user follow-up, and helping ensure issues are resolved promptly
  • Maintain testing logs and documentation; identify, raise, and escalate testing issues as needed
  • Track project deliverables, issues, and actions; follow up with owners to support timely resolution and escalation

Process Documentation & Reporting

  • Document current-state processes, pain points, and user feedback to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain project quality metrics, reports, and related trackers
  • Prepare and update SOPs, training materials, and job aids
  • Assist in preparing project status updates, steering committee materials, and executive-ready summaries
  • Analyze process and project data to identify trends, root causes, bottlenecks, control gaps, and opportunities to improve efficiency

Coordination, Training & Operational Support

  • Support training, communications, and transition activities for system and process changes
  • Monitor post-go-live activity and support stabilization efforts
  • Provide day-to-day support for D365-related changes and ongoing finance operations
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, and stakeholder follow-ups; document decisions, action items, and open questions
  • Support change management activities, including stakeholder impact assessments, readiness tracking, adoption monitoring, and post-implementation feedback
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Analyst: 2–4 years of relevant experience
  • Senior Analyst: 4–7+ years of relevant experience in finance transformation, accounting operations, financial systems, reporting, audit, process improvement, or project support roles

Knowledge and Skills

  • Working knowledge of finance and accounting processes such as PTP, OTC, RTR, close, controls, or reporting
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives, systems implementations, testing, or business process changes
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems; Power BI, reporting tools, or data visualization experience preferred
  • Experience in CPG, manufacturing, wholesale, or retail environments is preferred

  • Finance Process Knowledge: Solid grounding in accounting, reporting, controls, and operational finance workflows
  • Systems & Data Orientation: Comfortable working with ERP systems, reporting tools, reconciliations, and data validation
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Ability to challenge inefficiencies and support scalable process improvements
  • Communication & Collaboration: Clear, concise communication and the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders

Work Environment

  • Location: Hybrid office environment (El Segundo) with flexibility for industry events
  • Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Compensation: $37–$40 per hour. The exact hourly rate is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal company equity, and budget. The listed range is applicable only to the annual base salary and does not include additional perks, benefits, or applicable bonus eligibility comprising the total compensation package
