F&O Business Analyst (Finance & Operations)

About the Role

The F&O Business Analyst (Finance & Operations) position is responsible for working with the finance business unit at Toastmasters (TI) to understand their current and future needs. Working in partnership with Business Systems Director and MS Dynamics 365 Solution Architect you will help define the requirements, solutions, and issue resolution to improve the efficiency and accuracy of Finance & Operations services delivered to the finance department. Preferably you will come from a finance and accounting background, but have great ERP technical skills, and you will use this experience to deliver scalable, stable solutions, and fixes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to finance and operations processes
  • Utilize MS D365 to configure and customize financial modules, ensuring alignment with business needs
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and develop strategies to implement changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making and strategic planning
  • Develop and execute test cases for system enhancements and new features; ensure proper validation of financial data
  • Provide training and support to end-users on D365 functionalities; create user documentation and training materials
  • Work closely with IT, finance, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of solutions
  • Generate and analyze financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor business performance
  • Analyze, track & remediate root causes of defects
  • Develop testing documentation: Test plans, Test scripts, test exceptions, follow up and resolution, identify waste and rework and enacts plans to improve/solve AND/OR work with the QA test lead
  • Work on assigned projects as BA lead

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in finance and operations, with a strong focus on MS Dynamics 365
  • Proficiency in D365 financial modules (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Experience with process mapping and documentation
  • Strong Finance & Accounting business knowledge
  • Ability to articulate business requirements, capabilities & competencies, product/solution features, and technology aspects

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards, including Tax (Avalara platform)
  • Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or relevant business analysis certifications
  • Experience utilizing Azure DevOps to manage the implementation of new product offerings
  • Demonstrates technical thought leadership and domain / industry knowledge

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $130,000—$133,000 USD

Work Environment
