Primary Responsibilities
- Partner to the President and Executive Team in the development and execution of business strategy
- Primary liaison to ITG Finance Team and overseer of ITG platform related initiatives
- Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the Davies finance team
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
- Lead the closing process related to monthly and year-end cycles to ensure Corporate policies, procedures and deadlines are met
- Coordinate the preparation of financial information related to annual and long-range strategic business plans and periodic forecasts, working with cross functional teams as necessary
- Lead monthly performance to plan and forecast analysis
- Review capital spending needs with the President and prepare supporting Major Expenditure Authorization (MEAs) requests and anticipated investment returns when applicable
- Lead Microsoft D365/ERP migration initiatives
- Support integration of segment acquisitions
- Manage the Credit, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions
- Implement/maintain cycle counting processes and conduct physical inventories as necessary
- Coordinate audits from the Internal Audit Department, Outside Auditors, and State and Local Audits
- Ensure company operates within Heico's established accounting policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities for improvement through process changes, technology advancements and data analysis
- Continuous exploration of new technologies and identification of opportunities to automate business processes to drive efficiencies and cost savings
- Develop and monitor key metrics
- Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals
- Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach
- Lead completion of ad hoc requests in support of the President, ITG and Heico as assigned
Education, Skills & Relevant Work Experience
- An undergraduate degree in business, finance/accounting or a relevant curriculum is required and an MBA or CPA is preferred
- 5-10 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Extensive accounting experience and cost accounting foundation
- Participative management style - advocates team concepts and efforts. Sound administrative and team management skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software. Experience with Microsoft D365 implementations a plus
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing systems
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Results and profit oriented with the ability to balance business priorities. Capable of establishing credibility and being decisive
