Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AP Automation & Integration Specialist to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize an end-to-end invoice processing workflow. The current system processes vendor invoices in PDF format using Microsoft AI (Document Intelligence/Form Recognizer), Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Dataverse, and Azure-based pipelines, and integrates with Microsoft Dynamics ERP for Accounts Payable processing.

The ideal candidate will focus on fixing workflow issues, improving automation reliability, and enhancing data extraction accuracy. While familiarity with Dynamics ERP is beneficial, strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, Azure integration, and intelligent document processing is the primary requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Process Assessment & Troubleshooting

• Analyze the end-to-end invoice processing pipeline
• Identify and resolve issues across PDF ingestion and handling, AI-based data extraction, Power Automate workflows, Dataverse data storage, and Azure pipeline orchestration
• Perform root cause analysis for failures, delays, and data inconsistencies

AI & Document Processing Optimization

• Improve invoice data extraction using Azure AI Document Intelligence / Form Recognizer
• Enhance model accuracy via training, labeling, and validation improvements
• Implement exception handling, validation rules, and fallback processes

Power Platform & Dataverse Enhancements

• Optimize Power Automate flows for performance, scalability, and resilience
• Improve data modeling, relationships, and validation within Dataverse
• Enhance any existing Power Apps interfaces (if applicable)

Integration & Data Pipeline Improvements

• Strengthen integrations between AI processing, Dataverse, and downstream systems
• Ensure accurate data mapping and transformation across systems
• Improve reliability of API connections and data handoffs

Dynamics ERP Integration (Nice-to-Have)

• Support integration with Microsoft Dynamics ERP (AP module) where applicable
• Assist in resolving data posting or mapping issues into Dynamics
• Collaborate with ERP SMEs if deeper Dynamics expertise is required

Azure Pipeline & Automation Enhancement

• Analyze and optimize Azure Logic Apps, Functions, Data Factory, or pipeline workflows
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms
• Improve throughput and reduce processing latency

Documentation & Workflow Standardization

• Redesign and document the optimized workflow
• Produce architecture diagrams, process documentation, and error-handling guidelines
• Provide recommendations for future scalability and improvements

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in automation, integration, or workflow optimization
• Strong expertise in:
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse)
• Azure AI Document Intelligence / Form Recognizer
• Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Data Factory, or similar)
• PDF data extraction and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions
• Strong experience with:
• API integrations (REST, connectors)
• Data transformation, validation, and mapping
• Troubleshooting across distributed systems

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations / Business Central), especially AP workflows
• Understanding of Accounts Payable processes and financial data flows
• Knowledge of OCR tuning, AI model training, and structured data extraction
• Exposure to RPA tools (Power Automate Desktop, UiPath, etc.)

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and navigate complex systems
• Clear communication with technical and business stakeholders

Nice-to-Have Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer or Functional Consultant
• Azure AI Engineer Associate
• (Optional) Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification
