About this role

As the Product Owner for the Contract Administration areas of our YAVICA products, you will be responsible for gathering and prioritising product requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality software solution. Your responsibilities will encompass our range of solutions across leases and other real estate contracts, from creation to expiry, including lease clauses, lease charges, price adjustments, securities & guarantees, tenant statements, and intercompany fee contracts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of these aspects of lease and contract management, general experience in the real estate industry, and a desire to create solutions that bring value to tenants and property managers.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Product Manager to understand the product vision, customer requirements, and feature priorities
  • Maintain the product backlog, ensuring all features are captured, clearly written, and reflect current priorities and statuses
  • Conceptualise and produce functional designs that meet customer needs, including diagrams, mock-ups, and documents
  • Engage with customers and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet requirements; capture feedback, and keep them informed
  • Stay on top of latest Microsoft features, evaluate and make recommendations where appropriate
  • Work closely with other Product Owners and the Head of Product Ownership to align features across teams; to ensure deliverables meet standards; to obtain peer review and endorsement on solution designs
  • Collaborate with technical architects to ensure technical and functional designs are aligned
  • Collaborate with developers to clarify acceptance criteria, answer questions, and make decisions during feature implementation
  • Be accountable for product quality, working with Junior Product Owner and testing resources to define acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and testcases for automated and manual testing
  • Perform acceptance testing of delivered features
  • Participate in defect triage, validation, resolution and testing
  • Ensure documentation and training materials accurately reflect features and functionality of the solution

You might be a great fit if you have

  • A qualification in a relevant field (Computer Science, Accounting, Business, etc.)
  • Domain knowledge in Real Estate and Property Management software, especially in the area of real estate contracts
  • Domain knowledge in the Microsoft platform, especially Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations
  • Communication skills: excellent written and verbal communication, to articulate functional designs, engage with stakeholders, and align team members on deliverables; clearly convey functional designs and acceptance criteria
  • UI/UX skills: familiarity with design standards, usability, user experience principles, and user-centric design
  • Customer understanding: understanding business processes, roles, and the underlying "why" of customer needs
  • Analytical skills: analysing business processes; identifying solutions that satisfy a range of use cases; analysing solution options for suitability; identifying minimum viable product; researching and evaluating tools and approaches
  • Technical skills: sufficient experience in software development to engage effectively with technical teams on design and decisions
  • Time management: strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and help delivery to stay on track
  • Collaboration and teamwork: ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for successful delivery
