This role is all about troubleshooting, fixing issues fast, and preventing breakdowns before they happen.

Parts Room Clerk
Location & Schedule
- Location: Pen Argyl, PA
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm
- Pay: $24.21/hr - $27.78/hr
About the Role
The Parts Room Clerk will be responsible for keeping the parts room organized and making sure all inventory is correctly put away. This individual must be capable of using a computer, comfortable speaking with vendors and have experience with doing cycle counts.
Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Receive and verify the content of materials received from vendors
- Unpack materials into the company stockroom
- Stock materials on the storeroom shelves
- Transact part numbers and quantities into the inventory database
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through physical inventories and cycle counts
- Maintain accurate record of all issued parts and materials
System & Administration:
- Create purchase requisitions within ERP system
- Enter various transactions in ERP system
- Receive materials in the ERP system
- Research parts, tools, supplies, etc for purchase based on company needs
Operational Support:
- Receive material requests and issue parts and materials as requested
- Schedule vendors for services (i.e. forklift maintenance)
- Inform maintenance of repair needs
Planning & Coordination:
- Work with Maintenance Manager and Production Management to optimize maintenance and production schedules and efficiencies
- Organize resources in order to optimize productivity
Communication:
- Constant communication with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Department employees, Production Supervisors, Production employees, etc. to help ensure the most productive and cost effective plan is obtained
- Be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Be able to write simple correspondence and/or memos
- Display exceptional communication and customer service skills internally and with outside vendors
- Actively participate in meetings and share relevant information with the team
Qualifications
- Must be able to operate a computer
- Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, internet software, and database software
- Have the knowledge, skill, and ability to operate a forklift
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide American money, weight measurement, volume and distance
- Be able to reason and apply common sense
- Be able to handle problems and situations effectively
- Be able to answer questions and resolve problems in a timely manner with team involvement
- Experience in Microsoft D365 preferred
Physical Requirements
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Must be able to closely inspect and continually monitor all machines in the production process. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move throughout the facility. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear and smell. The employee is occasionally required to remain stationary, ascend and descend steps and ladders, and position self in tight spaces.
