- Lead procurement across the German locations of our group – from strategy through supplier and contract management to operational implementation
- Report directly to the COO and manage your team while developing structures and processes to ensure supply security and sustainable cost efficiency
People Management
- Manage personnel responsibility for a 7-person team including goal-setting, annual appraisals, and professional and personal development
Strategic & Cross-Site Leadership
- Lead cross-site procurement teams on global sourcing strategies (including Slovakia) and build efficient interfaces between headquarters and local units
- Further develop group-wide sourcing strategy and increase efficiency of the procurement organisation while considering risk and compliance requirements
- Actively shape Design-to-Cost and Target-Costing approaches in product development (Early Supplier Involvement, Value Engineering, Should-Cost analyses)
End-to-End Procurement Process
- Own the complete procurement process from needs assessment through delivery, focusing on supply security, inventory levels and capital commitment
- Define technical components in close coordination with development and product management to ensure cost-efficient product creation
- Manage inventory and stock strategy in coordination with production and sales
Supplier & Contract Management
- Lead price and contract negotiations nationally and internationally, conclude framework agreements and further develop suppliers (including audits and performance reviews)
Systems & Data
- Co-shape the further development of ERP and data landscape in procurement (e.g. MS Dynamics 365, BI, AI tools)
- Demonstrate interest in AI-enabled procurement applications (e.g. spend analyses, supplier research, tender documents) and integrate these pragmatically into daily work
Performance Management
- Own a transparent KPI set (defined jointly) by which success in the role is measured – e.g. realised savings (TCO), delivery reliability/capability, inventory and working capital effects, supplier performance, and contract and compliance rate
What You Bring
- Completed degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional and management experience in strategic and operational procurement, ideally in a technical environment
- Proven management experience and ability to motivate and develop employees
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on mentality and ability to set clear priorities operationally (e.g. order management, master data maintenance, complaints handling)
- Secure communication in German and English for convincing collaboration with team and external partners
- Confident use of ERP/SRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar) and high numeracy skills to identify savings and optimisation potential
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
