Inventory Coordinator

Based in Sydney, the Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing, regulating, and optimizing stock levels across all storage facilities and production lines. This role ensures data integrity within the inventory management system, minimizes variances, manages supplier to production, and coordinates regular cycle counts and stocktakes to support seamless production and distribution workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels, track material movements, and execute replenishment strategies to prevent shortages or excess inventory
- Maintain real-time accuracy of the ERP/WMS database. Reconcile physical stock against digital records and troubleshoot transaction errors
- Schedule, execute, and oversee routine physical cycle counts and annual stocktakes. Investigate root causes of discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Inspect incoming materials for quality, quality compliance, and quantity matching against purchase orders. Liaise with Procurement regarding supplier non-conformances
- Generate inventory health reports, tracking metrics such as inventory turnover, slow-moving/obsolete stock (SLOB), and accuracy KPIs
- Identify bottlenecks in materials handling and warehouse workflows; recommend layout changes or procedural updates to improve efficiency
- Prepare picking lists for production builds
- Document processes associated with inventory, movement, control, tracking, counting and transfer
- Ensure compliance to all HSE and process requirements and instructions

- Inventory Accuracy: Maintain >98% accuracy between physical stock and ERP records
- Stock Variance: Keep shrinkage and financial reconciliation variances below target thresholds
- Order Fulfillment: Minimize production downtime or dispatch delays caused by internal stockouts
- Incoming Goods: Timely goods receipt, inspection and transfer to location
- Order Fulfilment: >98% kitted parts accuracy and fulfilment
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification:
- Certificate IV in Supply Chain Operations (Desirable)
Licences:
- Forklift Licence is an advantage
Experience:
- 3+ years in inventory control, warehousing, or materials management—ideally within a manufacturing, technology hardware, or high-volume distribution environment
- Understanding of WHS practices
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with ERP/WMS software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365)
- Intermediate spreadsheet capabilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
