The Manager – Sales Operations & Analytics is responsible for driving operational efficiency, sales performance insights, and end-to-end sales process governance for assigned business units/regions. This role combines hands-on execution with team leadership, ensuring high-quality reporting, accurate forecasting, and seamless sales operations support to enable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Operations Execution
  • Manage core sales operations processes including pipeline tracking and deal governance
  • Allocate quotas and track performance
  • Manage sales lifecycle (lead to closure)
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of operational activities aligned to business priorities
  • Maintain data accuracy and system hygiene across sales tools
  • Reporting & Business Insights
  • Own delivery of regular business reports and dashboards (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Analyze sales performance, pipeline health, and revenue trends
  • Provide actionable insights to support leadership decision-making
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using tools like Power BI and Excel
  • Forecasting & Planning Support
  • Support sales forecasting cycles and track forecast accuracy
  • Assist in business planning, budgeting, and target setting
  • Highlight risks, opportunities, and variance against targets
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with Sales, Consulting, Finance, and Support teams to ensure alignment
  • Communicate performance insights and operational updates to stakeholders
  • Act as a bridge between business teams and operations
  • Team Management
  • Lead and manage a team of sales operations analysts (typically 4–10 members)
  • Oversee workload distribution, performance tracking, and team development
  • Mentor team members and drive a high-performance culture
  • Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and reporting efficiency
  • Drive automation initiatives leveraging tools and analytics capabilities
  • Standardize processes and ensure adherence to SOPs
  • Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure sales operations activities comply with internal policies and regional guidelines
  • Support audit requirements and maintain documentation for governance processes
  • Track risks and escalate issues proactively
  • Project & Initiative Support
  • Manage or contribute to sales operations projects (reporting enhancements, tool rollouts, etc.)
  • Collaborate on UAT, business requirement gathering, and solution implementation
  • Track project milestones and ensure timely delivery

Experience & Qualifications

  • 10–14 years of relevant experience in Sales Operations / Business Analytics / MIS
  • Prior experience managing teams and working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Exposure to regional or national sales operations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or related discipline
  • MBA preferred
