Job Summary
To provide high quality software implementation consultancy to Enable customers. The consultant acts as the conduit between the customer and technical teams, providing guidance that ensures the technical capabilities of our software customisations match agreed requirements. The jobholder will also provide requirements analysis, solution and configuration design, customisation solution design, implementation, training, integration, testing and production support to customers either on-site or remotely.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Define the requirements of the customer and play them back to the customer to agree them
- Learn, articulate, configure and design a solution for the requirements of customers
- Take task ownership for ensuring the customer's requirements and issues are solved regardless of functional or technical in nature
- Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with customers, partners and internal teams
- Run customer workshops and design sessions to configure D365 F&SCM modules (Finance, Trade & Logistics, Inventory Management) to support Enable's rebate workflows
- Train project team and end users on business solution
- Produce detailed requirements, design, configuration, test and cutover documentation agreed with the customer
- Produce functional design documents compatible with D365 extension and customisation patterns
- Act as a conduit between the Customer and Enable teams seeking resolutions in both implementations and support
- Work on multiple projects including implementations and support
- Maintain a working knowledge of functional and technical competencies, implementation and support methodologies
- Provide solution design and triage support to customers
- Configure D365 using tools such as Lifecycle Services (LCS), the Data Management Framework (DIXF), and Business Process Modeler (BPM)
- Ask questions and be curious about why customers choose Enable, and why Enable solutions exist
- Relate requirements from the Customer to the development team members
- Quality assure the technical capabilities of software customisations meet agreed Customer requirements
- Create Business Requirements Documentation scoping requirements to be met
- Create Solution Design, Configuration and Functional Design Documents for standard Flintfox solutions and its customization
- Contribute to the successful implementation and triage of proposed solution designs
- Drive closure of all functional and technical troubleshooting for both support and implementation customers
- Support the delivery of the resolution of project and support issues to be as planned
- Write test scripts based on requirements and carry out testing
- Effectively communicate and work with other team members to achieve organization objectives
- Undertake additional tasks, responsibilities, and ad-hoc projects as and when requested
- Ensure all billable work is billed effectively
- Maximize opportunities for billable work
- Ensure timesheets are recorded daily and submitted weekly
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum 2 years implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and/or Supply Chain Management
- Hands-on experience with D365 configuration: chart of accounts, financial dimensions, trade agreements, price/discount management, or inventory parameters
- Familiarity with D365 integration tooling — Data Entities, DIXF, Power Automate, or Azure Logic Apps
- Experience working within Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS) for project delivery and environment management
- Business Analysis ability to capture business requirements, document them and agree them with the customer
- Develop and agree Acceptance Criteria for Solution Designs with Customer
- Configuration certification in setting up ERP solutions to meet business requirements
- Triage and troubleshoot both implemented designs and new solution designs quickly and accurately
- Working knowledge of the Order to Cash or Procure to Pay processes within D365 SCM's Sales & Marketing or Procurement & Sourcing modules
- Intermediate understanding of Trade Spend terminology, types of trade spend and business reasons for tracking it
- Intermediate understanding of the sales/purchase order terminology and how price/discounts are generated
- Able to demonstrate understanding of a Profit and Loss Statement
- Basic to intermediate understanding of accounting journal entries, T-accounts, accrual and settlements
- Good communication and presentational skills
- Ability to be clear and concise when presenting ideas and solutions
- Experience in creating implementation documents such as Business Requirements Document, Functional Design Documents, Configuration Documents, Test Scripts
- Experienced at writing test scripts and testing solutions to meet defined business requirements
Required Experience
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310) or Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate (MB-330), or willingness to certify within 6 months of hire
- At least 2 years' experience in ERP implementations either within the implementing organization or implementation partner
- Experience in defining requirements and creating solution design
- Experience in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or Manufacturing with an understanding of related business processes
Preferred Education and Experience
- Pricing experience
- Experience with Flintfox or similar D365 ISV solutions
- Familiarity with D365 Power Platform extensions (Power Apps, Power BI embedded)
- Experience with Azure DevOps for project task and backlog management
Travel
Our roles may require some travel, with a typical average being in the region of up to 20%. Very infrequently, however, some customers at some specific stages of their projects, may request a higher percentage of travel, sometimes up to 50% or more.
