The role
Reporting to the Plant Controller, we are seeking a Financial Analyst Operations to join our Brampton, Ontario plant. You will play a key role in analyzing operational and financial performance, providing timely reporting, and supporting plant leadership in making data-driven decisions. You will work closely with the Plant Manager, Production, Warehouse, and other site leaders as part of the Indianapolis leadership team, ensuring that operational performance is fully understood from a financial perspective.
This is an existing full-time hybrid role, with three days onsite at our plant in Brampton, Ontario and two days remote each week.
What you will do
Analyze operational performance
- Report results against budget to operations managers
- Prepare statistical and financial reporting
- Provide insights that are timely and accurate
Monitor production runs
- Analyze raw materials and packaging consumption, focusing on quality, inventory, and cost
- Collaborate with the management team to identify and explain causes of waste, scrap, and discrepancies
Provide financial insights
- Develop and optimize financial models, reporting templates, and tools to streamline efficiency in daily and monthly tasks
- Analyze plant spend and production variances
- Ensure clear communication of financial results
Support the month-end close
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end analytics that reflect plant performance
- Consolidate results into reports and presentations for site leadership
- Add commentary that translates data into insights
Leverage data storytelling
- Transform complex financial data into meaningful and actionable insights
- Present findings, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend improvements
Partner with plant leaders
- Update and analyze plant expenses
- Review them with department managers
- Support costing and inventory teams with consolidated reporting
Assist with planning
- Support monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and year-end audit and close activities
Drive improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and automate data presentation
- Help the team operate more efficiently
What you bring
Education and experience
- A degree in Accounting or Finance
- A CPA or CMA designation, or active candidacy, is an asset
- Financial analyst experience, ideally in manufacturing or inventory management
- Excel at analyzing data to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements
- Confident in variance analysis, profit and loss (P&L) statements, costing, and inventory management
Technical skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including queries, VLOOKUPs, and PivotTables
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
- Proficient in PowerPoint and able to prepare clear and compelling presentations

Compensation and benefits
The expected base pay range for this role is $60,000 – $70,000.
Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
This role is also eligible for bonus and benefits in accordance with company policy.
