Role Description

Identify opportunities to deliver tangible business value by assessing the current state, capturing high-level requirements, and defining business solutions. Translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions and operating models. Support transformation by developing business cases and guiding implementation of key initiatives.

About the Role

As a Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Technical Architect, you will lead technical delivery for D365 F&O projects and architect AI-enabled solutions leveraging Power Platform, Azure, and automation toolsets. Your day involves solutioning, reviewing design decisions, driving technical excellence, and contributing to innovation and accelerators development.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical solution delivery for assigned projects
• Design, develop, and customize D365 F&O using X++, Extensions, Data Entities, and Integrations
• Work as an individual contributor in hands-on technical development, building complex solutions in Dynamics 365 F&O
• Lead technical design workshops and finalize solution architecture inputs for integrations and extensions
• Drive AI adoption and design solutions using Copilot, Power Automate, AI Builder, and Azure AI capabilities
• Review code, validate design patterns, enforce performance and security best practices
• Manage technical teams (developers + consultants) and guide them on complex design
• Partner with functional teams for fit-gap analysis, feasibility, and impact assessment
• Create accelerators and reusable assets aligned with the QUC objective
• Support presales with estimations, solution deck creation, and demos
• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, showcase solutions, and resolve technical challenges
• Quickly learn and apply cutting-edge AI technologies to drive innovation and enhance delivery effectiveness

Professional & Technical Skills

Core Technical (D365 F&O / X++ / Extensions)

• Strong hands-on development experience in X++ development & extensions (extension-first architecture)
• Data management framework (DMF), data entities, batch jobs
• Custom APIs / OData integrations
• Role-based security, workflows, and automation

Solution Design & Architecture

• Experience designing full technical architecture for ERP + AI + Power Platform + Azure
• High-performance integrations (Azure Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps)

Advanced AI + Copilot Solutioning (Must Have)

• Build and deploy custom Copilot experiences for D365 F&O
• Build AI models using copilot studio and AI Foundry (Form processing, prediction, category classification)
• Use Azure OpenAI (Chat/Completion/Embedding models) to build ERP conversational assistants
• Build Generative AI workflows integrated into D365 (summarization, auto-email generation, generating field-level insights)
• Leverage MCP to create and extend agents for Microsoft Dynamics 365 finance and operations apps

Modern Development

• Event-driven architecture using business events
• Telemetry + Application Insights monitoring
• PowerShell automation for environment management

IP / Reusable Components Creation

• Build reusable automation accelerators (templates, frameworks, bot flows)
• Expected outcome: Must be able to own AI technical architecture, lead developers, and ensure solution scalability

Leadership & Behavioral Skills

• Ability to influence stakeholders and lead teams
• Ability to make key decisions in ambiguous or complex architecture scenarios
