Job Purpose

The Analyst, Inventory Accounting will support inventory/cost accounting team catering global support to APAC, LATAM, CAN and EU regions.

Key Accountabilities

• Does weekly run and analysis of business unit's inventory transactions
• Prepares standard cost calculation
• Runs cost reviews highlighting drivers of the movement
• Coordinates with IT to load standard cost timely
• Performs validation by checking the cost loaded into the system
• Participates in month-end closing activities focusing on reports preparation and analysis
• Calculates Inventory Reserves
• Prepares Cost of Goods Sold report
• Prepares Purchase Price Variance Analysis report
• Reconciles inventory and other account balances using DAX system and Blackline
• Proposes adjustment entries as necessary
• Prepares and inputs journal entries as needed
• Communicates with both external and internal auditors for inventory related enquiries
• Adheres to SOX audit requirements by constantly checking compliance with identified controls (key and non-key controls)
• Prepares, maintains, and updates SOX related documentation
• Supports the assigned region's management on ad hoc requests
• Participates in other Finance ad hoc activities

Qualifications

Education: Degree in Accounting or any related Business/Finance Course

Experience: 3+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting with strong background in Inventory and Cost Accounting. Experience in the wireless, high tech, manufacturing, or insurance industry is a plus.
