About the Role

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for full cycle accounts payable processing in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with company policies within a multi-entity and multi-currency enterprise. This individual is responsible for performing accurate and timely reviews, verifications, and processing of vendor invoices and payments and employee expense reimbursements, while maintaining an organized filing system and conducts all assignments in accordance with company policies and Sectigo guidelines.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full cycle accounts payable processing in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with company policies
  • Assist in handling weekly check run procedures
  • Review invoices for compliance with company policies and signature authority limits and process invoices and related vendor documents (i.e., purchase orders, goods receipts, etc.); reconcile and code invoices and ensure invoices are appropriately approved
  • Perform substantial data entry and accurately enter transactions into Sectigo's accounting system and record any adjustments
  • Review and audit expense reporting for receipts and proper GL coding, including travel and entertainment as well as corporate credit card and employee reimbursement expenses
  • Ensure payments are made timely and in accordance with cash flow by maintaining a cash summary log
  • Assist with processing of customer refund payments
  • Assist in preparing weekly wire transfer requests and create and maintain bank templates
  • Ensure proper record retention of A/P documentation including, but not limited to, maintaining vendor files and accurately filing invoices and related documents
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Participate in annual audit by providing any payment and invoice information requested
  • Review monthly vendor statements and reconcile any differences
  • Assist with account variance and intercompany reconciliations
  • Manage the integration of newly acquired entities
  • Efficiently analyze expense data for accrued expenses; project and outline expense forecasts
  • Build and maintain positive internal and external relationships while researching and resolving invoicing issues; provide information to auditors
  • Perform other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management

Position Details

  • Compensation: USD 50,000 to USD 54,000 per annum, subject to internal equity and years of experience

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business discipline is preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of current, related Accounts Payable or Accounting experience
  • Invoice coding experience to determine capex v opex and prepaids
  • International currency experience preferred
  • Experience working in a multi-entity environment preferred

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Familiarity with taxes and three-way matching (i.e., purchase orders, invoices and receipts)
  • Ability to leverage and implement technology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar software such as Great Plains, Solomon
  • Outstanding work ethic with a willing-to-roll-up-sleeves work attitude
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present ideas and communicate effectively and proactively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, team environment consisting of internal and external team members
  • Excellent analytical skills, math aptitude and data entry skills with emphasis on accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent planning, organization, attention to detail and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to work in a global and fast-growing environment processing 90+ invoices per week, working with 200+ vendors
