About the Role
Under the supervision of the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Vice-President of Finance is responsible for the financial health of the company. This person supervises all accounting operations and provides necessary information to managers so that the management team can make the right decisions at the right time.
Responsibilities
- Produce monthly interim financial statements, tax declarations and dashboards
- Manage an accounting technician and analyze current processes to recommend an efficient team structure, covering the entire accounting cycle, payroll and benefits
- Manage and optimize working capital and oversee collection from customers
- Implement, prepare and monitor annual budgets and establish a procedure for expense approval
- Submit subsidy applications in collaboration with stakeholders and produce all documentation (CDAE, RS&DE, Emploi-Québec, others)
- Conduct various analyses and develop financial strategies in concert with various company managers
- Collaborate with the management team and participate in the development of company strategy, including acquisition projects
- Develop and maintain business relationships with financial partners, external auditors and various other suppliers or organizations
- Ensure continuous improvement of accounting processes and administrative controls
- Participate in various events to increase the company's visibility with various financial partners and others
Requirements
- Designation: CPA accounting designation plus at least 5 years of experience in a management role
- Languages: Mastery of French and English, spoken and written (bilingualism is essential for this role; the person in this role will need to collaborate with internal and external clients across North America in both French and English)
- Government subsidies: Experience with government subsidy processes (CDAE, R&D, Emploi-Québec) — an asset
- Financial analysis: Solid experience in financial analysis, modelling and production of management reports
- Strategic vision: Demonstrate strategic vision and have good knowledge of the issues facing a professional services company
- Professional ethics: High sense of professional ethics and constant concern for accuracy
- Leadership: Positive leadership and excellent aptitudes for collaboration, mobilization and communication
- Solutions-oriented: Orientation toward concrete solutions and results, with good business judgment
- Data translation: Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable recommendations
- Problem analysis: Aptitude to analyze and diagnose financial problems
- Negotiation: Aptitude to negotiate with a win-win perspective
- Risk management: Capacity to anticipate financial risks and implement adapted controls
- Business Central: Knowledge of Business Central — an asset

Work Arrangements
- Flexibility: Flexible work mode (remote, hybrid or in-person), because what matters is generally not where you are, but what you do
- Office presence: Presence at the Montreal office is required at least 3 days at the end of each quarter
- Salary: Between $145,000 and $185,000, on a basis of 37.5 hours per week plus annual bonus
