Position Overview

Account Executive: Ahmedabad/Delhi

You will serve as a valued and trusted business partner to the organization, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the completion and accuracy of all financial reporting while complying with local tax and audit regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Maintain financial control by adhering to internal controls, accounting standards, and tax requirements
  • Manage day-to-day accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries in compliance with Accounting Standards
  • Process invoices, expense claims, and payment requests while ensuring proper authorization and documentation
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, and ledgers on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Perform monthly closing including preparation of the financial reporting package:
  • Perform General Journal testing in the accounting system
  • Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and inter-company reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Review AR Aging and AP Aging
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet and P&L accounts
  • Prepare and submit the financial reporting package
  • Prepare intercompany transaction detailed schedules and balance confirmations to other business units

AP Management

  • Process vendor and intercompany invoices on a frequent basis, including reviewing invoices and ensuring all legal compliance and claim approvals are in accordance with company norms
  • Prepare vendor claim journals and payments, including cross-border payments
  • Liaise with local CA for all relevant documents for cross-border payments
  • Perform quarterly vendor accruals

AR Management

  • Prepare intercompany recharge/mark-up invoices
  • Obtain all relevant supporting documents for recharge invoices

Compliance

  • Prepare and submit accounting schedules, TDS and GST returns, and process TDS and GST payments
  • Perform quarterly tax computations; liaise with auditors and tax agents
  • Reconcile payroll records

Audit

  • Review all necessary schedules for auditors and assist in the audit process

Other Duties

  • Reconcile discrepancies arising between the system and finance records; proactively seek solutions to identify and minimize differences
  • Undertake other assignments relating to business and finance analysis from time to time

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA, CA/CA Inter, or equivalent
  • Solid knowledge of local tax/audit regulations and IFRS, with hands-on experience in a finance operating environment
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with different departments and collect necessary information in a timely manner
  • Positive, result-driven, with good analytical thinking and a team-player mindset
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong initiative and willingness to take on projects proactively
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly
  • Quick to learn and adopt new procedures

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Multinational company experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in AP, AR, GL, Taxation, TDS, GST, and period-end closure
