Planar (Planar Systems, Inc.) is an American digital display manufacturer that designs and produces LED video walls, LCD video walls, large format LCD displays, and desktop and touch screen monitors, along with related display management and professional services. It was founded in 1983 as a spin-off from Tektronix and was the first U.S. manufacturer of electroluminescent digital displays. Planar has been a subsidiary of China-based Leyard Optoelectronic Co. since 2015.
