About Enviva

Enviva is a producer of industrial (utility-grade) wood pellets, a renewable energy source used to generate electricity and heat, marketed as a lower-carbon alternative to fossil fuels. The company owns and operates wood pellet production plants and export marine terminals in the U.S. Southeast, and exports its pellets to power and heat customers in the United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia. Enviva filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2024 and announced its emergence from Chapter 11 in December 2024.
